Health Advantage Cares Foundation Announces $25,000 Multi-Year Commitment to Support Great Lakes Bay Health Centers ‘Bayside Health Center at Uptown’
January 26, 2025
Saginaw, MI - The Health Advantage Cares Foundation has committed $25,000 over the next five years to support the development of the new Great Lakes Bay Health Centers (GLBHC) Bayside Health Center at Uptown, a facility currently being built to expand access to healthcare services in Bay County and the surrounding region.
The new Bayside Health Center at Uptown is designed to bring multiple essential services together in one location, including primary care, dental, behavioral health, vision, pharmacy, and additional integrated services. Once completed, the center will help reduce barriers to care and increase access for individuals and families who rely on local, community-based healthcare.
“Supporting the Bayside Health Center at Uptown aligns closely with our foundation’s purpose and our credit union’s roots in healthcare,” said Laura Crase, President and CEO of Health Advantage Credit Union. “This project is about building more than a facility, it’s about building access, stability, and healthier communities. We are grateful for the opportunity to support Great Lakes Bay Health Centers as they create a new home for essential healthcare services in Uptown Bay City.”
“This commitment provides meaningful momentum as we work to bring the Bayside Health Center at Uptown to life,” said Jill Armentrout, Fund Development Coordinator at Great Lakes Bay Health Centers. “Support like this helps turn plans into a place where people can receive care, feel supported, and access services that are often difficult to find in one location. We are truly thankful to the Health Advantage Cares Foundation for investing in the future of community health.”
